Samantha Gollup

Dietitian - MS, RDN

Hi, I’m Sammie Gollup, MS, RD (she/her) — a Registered Dietitian based in Madison, Wisconsin, with a deep passion for helping people heal their relationships with food and their bodies.

I specialize in intuitive eating, binge and emotional eating, body image support, and helping parents raise kids who feel confident and at home in their bodies. I also work with clients navigating recovery from disordered eating or chronic dieting.

My path to this work started in a surgical weight management program, where I saw firsthand how deeply diet culture can damage our relationship with food, body, and self-worth. It was there that I found intuitive eating, and everything clicked. I realized how many people, including myself, had been caught in cycles of yo-yo dieting, body dissatisfaction, and food guilt. I knew I wanted to help people unlearn those patterns and rediscover trust, satisfaction, and peace with food from a young age.

My approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that health is about so much more than a number on the scale. I help clients let go of the food police, reconnect with their bodies’ cues, and build sustainable health habits without shame or restriction.

As a former collegiate athlete and longtime fitness instructor, I also love helping people reconnect with movement in joyful and flexible ways. No punishment or perfection required.

Outside of sessions, I’m usually juggling life as a mom to two energetic kids (ages 4 and 6), a cute but kind of dumb lab, and ten backyard chickens. My husband travels often for work, so our days are full and lively! When I get a moment to myself, you’ll find me on my yoga mat, in the garden, or hosting dinner parties with friends and their littles. I’m passionate about slow living, good food, and building community around nourishment and connection.
